Splints are satin smooth on both sides, especially prepared for refined work. This product is medium weight with a satin finish. Ash is a natural material, cut from different parts of the whole ash log, and colors of splint vary from light to a bit darker. Smooth and flexible, medium weight, weavers are thinner than uprights.
