This not only adds detail but gives the hem and cuffs some weight so that the dress sits and drapes perfectly as Balmain intended

Skirt: 43" from waist to front hem

1930s feel black silk satin is molded over lightly padded cups and pleated softly under the bust line to balance the bareness of the bodice with a puffed and voluminous skirt

I do not consider this to be a flaw and any tiny areas only add to the patina of this outstanding gown
