1960s Jean Louis Bead & Embroidery Silk Gown designer-john-kloss Really unusual color and constructionJean Louis is the man behind that famous gown that Marylin Monroe wore while singing Happy Birthday Mr President. His was known for his gowns and this one is spectacular. Made out of a heavy gold silk, the fabric was then covered in hand embroidered flowers, each edged in gold beads. The design is raised and the beads heavily applied in a way that each design that covers the dress is highlighted to maximum effect. The seaming is wonderful with the
