It has been a pretty active wildfire season in the area

The last couple of days while driving along Speer Blvd I have noticed the changing leaves in the city with some of the trees already empty of leaves there are plenty of trees in peak color this fall

In the past five years I have explored many places around Denver and the western United States as part of this project

It was a balance of finding the right break in the clouds as well as an interesting scene to photograph and when a small clearing occurred captured this image

Denver from the State Capitol in the Fall Presentation:Print Only over hillsIn November 2015 during a brief snow in Denver I headed towards Civic Center Park to photograph. As the snow tapered off the foothills started to become visible in the distance. With the fresh snow on the grass and the fall color in the leaves I found myself on the capitol steps to capture this image west through Civic Center Park towards the City and County of Denver building.
