The motion of the water can be mesmerizing

From the way the light hits the ice and the ever changing effects of the water of the piece of ice

The cathedral itself has been in existence since prior to the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867

For this image I zoomed in at the gap of the two main components of the complex

Clear skies allowed for the late afternoon sun to cast a rainbow on the waterfall while also providing details to the textures of the grass and rock

Snow and Ice Size:16"x20" The motion of the waterStanding on Mendenhall Lake recently I looked down at the fresh snow on the lake which was frozen in my area. I have noticed over the past winters when in Juneau the different shape the snow takes which you can see on the ice itself in this image. As the coverage of snow varied I used this to build negative and positive space in the image created.
