I was given a small piece that I cut this stone from long ago

This fordite is from Chillecothe Ohio and occurred as a result of painting parts for freightliner semi trucks

By base color I mean that in low light or when not flashing in the light at certain orientations the stone will appear black

This piece was collected in northern MN near Grand Marias and came to me in a collection I purchased as a beach washed pebble. I shaped it in a teardrop where the top and back are the host basalt with a polished piece of thomsonite at the base. I drilled this piece and secured it with a stainless steel bail. The included 20 inch chain is also stainless steel. This
